Artist Bio // Peeyush Bavalia
Peeyush Bavalia is an emerging artist, finds profound inspiration in the majestic Himalayan peaks and the
serene sea, particularly in their dynamic relationship with the moon. Born in 1988 in Satara district of
Maharashtra, his passion for visual art was evident from a young age.
Peeyush, a trailblazing artist of his generation, embarked on a journey of artistic exploration. After graduating
with a Diploma in Animation and VFX from Frameboxx in 2008, he honed his skills as a generalist for a year
before making a significant decision. In 2015, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the renowned
Sir JJ School of Art in Mumbai. During his academic years, he immersed himself in the art of water-based
mediums, particularly watercolors, Inks and acrylics, honing his techniques. He also delved into landscape
painting and studied the compositions of renowned old masters, enriching his artistic vision.
In COVID-19 lockdown, Peeyush’s connection with his art and style intensified. Since then, he has been
consistently creating drawings and paintings. His art is held by many collectors from Mumbai, Delhi, London,
Dubai, Kerala and Pune to name a few.
Driven by an unwavering commitment to explore not only the majestic Great Himalayas but also numerous other peaks worldwide through the exhilarating experience of trekking one summit at a time, Peeyush envisions capturing the essence of these mountains, their serene yet profound connection to the moon, and the breathtaking landscapes surrounding them.
